Enable traceability in supply chains
Assessment tool
Version 1.0
Issue Date: May 2024
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to enable traceability of products and services in supply chains. It includes identifying supply chain traceability, implementing supply chain traceability, using traceability data, monitoring risks to supply chain traceability and reviewing and reporting on supply chain traceability.
Traceability is a collaborative effort that allows for the provenance of produce, products, parts and materials from suppliers as they are processed and distributed as end commodities to be confirmed. It also allows for the reliability of sustainability claims for human rights, the environment, workforce health and safety and anti-corruption practices to be verified. Traceability ensures that the collection and validation of data and the commitment to specified chain of custody standards is maintained throughout the supply chain.
The unit is applicable to those with management or team leadership responsibilities within a supply chain.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
